Heat map showing the differential expression patterns of LPS-stimulated genes. Navg, (N+L) avg and (T+L) avg are as described in Figure 1. Nabs was introduced to distinguish the patterns clearly and it is equal to one. The rationale
was that the fold change is >1 for both classes of genes in the N+L phenotype, and
<1 for pro-inflammatory and >1 for the antibacterial class genes in the T+L phenotype.
Only a subset of the pro-inflammatory genes is shown.
